About Nikki, Registered Kinesiologist
I’ve always believed in the power of movement as medicine. That belief led me to complete my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University and my master’s degree at the University of Guelph. Over the years, I’ve seen how exercise plays a vital role in helping people heal from injury, manage chronic conditions, navigate stress, and feel more at home in their bodies.
My perspective shifted even more during my pregnancies and early postpartum years, when I realized how little support many women receive in caring for their bodies through major life transitions. Despite the prevalence of pain, exhaustion, and mental health challenges, moms are often expected to manage without adequate resources.
After the birth of my third child, I experienced burnout. It was in that season that I reached out for help—gratefully supported by a team of health professionals and a strong community around me. As I recovered, I returned to what I’ve always loved: helping others move toward healing.
Since then, I’ve continued to learn and grow in the field of pregnancy, postpartum, and women’s health. And even now, years later, I can say the support I received then still matters deeply. As my children grow and motherhood evolves, I’m learning that movement, connection, and care are essential through every new season.
As a fellow mom and woman in this community, I’m committed to offering thoughtful care and practical tools that support real life—not perfection. I want you to feel equipped and encouraged as you navigate the physical and emotional demands of your world, with a sense of strength, self-understanding, and community around you.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me adventuring with my kindergarten-bestie-husband, my three girls and our newest addition, Judy the Aussiedoodle. Sometimes the adventure leads us to hikes in exotic places, but more often we’re hitting the neighbourhood trails. Other times we are enjoying literary adventures around the campfire, foolishly testing out new recipes while hosting new and old friends, or finding the best donut within a 60k radius (right now it’s Donut Monster in Hamilton, but I’m open to feedback and samples :)) This season you’re likely to find me on the sidelines coaching our girls’ soccer teams, enjoying a date night at the tennis court, or hitting the road running solo (praise hands!!). At all times, I’m practicing prioritizing sleep and I’m guessing you may be able to relate to that, so let’s start our bond there.
